The TCA Peel and the Deep Phenol Peel are skin resurfacing treatments that effectively remove the outer layers of sun-damaged, blemished, unevenly pigmented, blotchy skin and pre-cancerous growths.  These more intensive peels require a preliminary consultation with Dr. Villano where you will discuss your goals and expectations and together develop a personalized treatment plan appropriate to your needs.  These peels typically provide the most dramatic results in wrinkle reduction with vigorous post-treatment collagen production that can take as much as 10 years off the face.  A chemical peel is frequently performed in conjunction with a facelift although it is not considered a substitute for a facelift, since it addresses skin surface issues.

Preparation for Chemical Peel Treatments

As with any procedure, Dr. Villano will discuss your concerns and help you set a personalized treatment plan to achieve your goals. You should be in good health and be able to establish realistic goals and expectations. A nutritious diet is beneficial and we prefer you stop smoking for a few weeks before and after any invasive procedure. All peel procedures carry some risks, and these should be discussed with Dr. Villano during your consultation.
